Examining Coaching and Coach Education in the U.S. Livestream

On December 4, 2019, the Center hosted a livestreamed event focused on coaching and coach education in the United States through a grant from the West Virginia University Office of the Provost and in conjunction with the United States Center for Coaching Excellence. The presentations featured sport industry and academic leaders and highlighted quality coaching and coach education within the American sport system. NSCA State Clinic

Hosted by the National Strength and Conditioning Association, this clinic allows attendees to learn, participate and network with colleagues while earning CEUs. The spring NSCA WV state clinic has been postponed due to COVID.  The fall 2020 clinic date will be announced soon.

Spring 2020 Center for Applied Coaching and Sport Sciences Town Hall Meeting Series to support youth and scholastic sport coaches, parents, athletes and programs in WV

The last Town Hall event was on Thursday, May 21st at 3pm and focused on Returning to Play in WV. The Spring 2020 series focused on helping WV athletes, coaches, parents and sport leaders cope with challenges and concerns related to COVID. Watch all of the recordings from the Town Hall series here.
