Valerie Wayda

Biographical Sketch
Prior to serving as department chair at WVU, Dr. Wayda was employed at the University of Virginia (1990-93) as the Coordinator of the Service Physical Education Program/faculty member in the sport psychology program; Ball State University (1993-2005) as the Coordinator of the Sport Psychology Program and the Coaching Minor, and the University of Central Arkansas (2005-2009) as Coordinator of the Physical Education Teacher Program. She is a life-time member of AAHPERD and ICHPERD-SD and has been a member of NAKHE since 2000. She has served in various leadership roles within Midwest District AHPERD, NASPE, NAKHE, and NCACE.
